ABOUT BE ON SPORT
The story of Conbego begins with the family father’s deep bond with gymnastics and sport. A gymnastics coach and a leading figure in the discipline, he was president of the Northern Gymnastics Association and of the Gymnastics Federation, and a member of the International Olympic Committee. Recognising the lack of companies specialised in building and equipping gymnasiums in Portugal, he decided to create a structure able to meet that need.
The first major milestone came with the Maia Sports Gymnastics Hall, a project that paved the way for the company’s growth and its expansion into other areas of sport. With a team initially rooted in teaching and Physical Education, the company kept evolving and also became a pioneer in installing synthetic turf in Portugal, building expertise in the creation and renovation of sports infrastructure.
Over the years, the company grew as a truly family project. The new generation carried on the original vision, keeping the closeness, rigour and dedication in every project. Alongside public works, the installation of sports flooring and the development of solutions for clubs, schools and individuals, the company kept pace with the evolution of the market and the needs of athletes.
It was from that continuous bond with gymnastics that Be On Sport Gymnastics was born, an online store specialised in the discipline and truly created “by gymnasts, for gymnasts”. More than a store, Be On Sport represents decades of hands-on experience in the world of gymnastics, bringing together technical knowledge, closeness to athletes and coaches, and a specialised selection of equipment and materials for training and competition.
Today, Be On Sport offers specialised products for gymnasts, clubs and coaches, keeping the same commitment that was there at the company’s origin: passion for the discipline, technical quality and a will to contribute to the growth of gymnastics in Portugal.
